Finance for the Future 2022 Case Studies
Following the 2022 Finance for the Future Awards ceremony, case studies have been created for organizations and their finance teams who were either winners or highly commended.
The 2022 awards programme was the 10th year of the awards having been created in 2012 to recognize leadership within the finance function to drive sustainable economies. The awards partners and judges look for organizations and individuals that are supporting the integration of sustainability into financial decision making. In 2022 the awards were split between five categories which can be seen below.

Climate Leaders
The Awards Partners looked for examples of best practice, across our different categories, that could be transformational in building a sustainable organization.
There was no separate entry form for this award; the leaders were selected from all of the finalists, based on the significance of Climate Leadership to each entry.
Embedding an integrated approach
This award recognizes non-listed companies where sustainability is embedded in the overall strategy and decision-making processes. The award recognizes finance teams that play a critical role in achieving this.
Communicating integrated thinking
This award recognizes organizations that are practicing authentic integrated thinking and are communicating this to their providers of financial capital.
The communications must explain how sustainability is embedded in the organization’s overall strategy and decision-making process. The finance team must play a critical role in achieving this.
Moving financial markets
This award recognizes large organizations that have investment activities, products and services that demonstrate ambition to build a more sustainable financial system.
Driving change in the finance community
This award recognizes the contribution of individuals, organizations or joint-entrants in driving action to integrate sustainability through education, training and academia. Entries can be self-nominated or nominated by a third party and must be relevant to the wider accounting or finance community.
