ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

Date: 11 March 2024 
Time: 1:00PM – 6:00PM (JST) followed by a networking reception 
Location: Otemachi region, Tokyo

This symposium is a sustainability reporting learning and engagement program for finance, accounting and investment professionals.

The event features two keynotes from the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA) and from the IFRS Foundation, and is also an opportunity for invitees to learn more about A4S and about the CFO and Investors Roundtable that will take place 10 July 2024 in Otemachi region, Tokyo, an event organized in collaboration with the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero’s Japan Chapter (GFANZ Japan). 

 

The event will cover: 

  • The drivers for sustainability reporting 

  • A global overview on the sustainability reporting landscape, including emerging regulations, with a particular focus on the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), which can be useful ahead of the upcoming Sustainability Standard Board of Japan (SSBJ) draft exposure for Japan

  • The role of finance and accounting in sustainability reporting, and  

  • Tools and technology for effective sustainability reporting in practice
